A gentleman from Islington contacted me to shoot his family photographs at their home one early November day last year as a gift for his wife. The little boy needed some coaxing so I asked him to take a photo of me with his plastic camera which helped! Such a great family. Lots of love, cuddles and cheekiness in this household…
This lovely couple, Lysette and Jack whom I met shooting another Brighton wedding a couple of years ago, had engagement photos taken with me on Brighton beach earlier in the year and I remembered them being so loving and obviously meant to be.
Lysette, surrounded by her “ladies in waiting” so perfectly dressed in their cerise pink dresses was simply grinning all morning, nervously excited to see her husband to be, Jack. We arrived ready to capture the day at her parents home and before we knew it we were all bundling into cars to see this couple married at a traditional and quaint church in Binfield.
The ceremony was followed by a lot of laughter and confetti, and after a short drive we arrived at the Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot; red carpet, blue skies and lots of bubbly. The couple were glowing and we had so much fun shooting the formal group shots with their fantastic family.
The evening was finished off with a great party (Jaegerbombs included!) and Lysette and Jack danced the night away. What a wonderful and cute couple. You guys made us smile. A grand pleasure. x
Joining Beth and Ian on their day was truly amazing. This London wedding photographer to the farm in the middle of Massachusetts was a feat in itself, myself and my great New York assistant, Janine, driving down windy roads to find the fabulous Gedney Farm was great fun, and arriving to greet a smiling Beth accompanied with her lovely family at their cottage was so warming. After spending some time with Beth getting ready we popped to see how Ian was doing over at the Farm and he was nervously gathering his things with his best men and his lovely dog to greet the rest of the wedding party.
A ceremony outside at the top of the hill surrounded by green fields and formal portraits by the old barn, it was near perfect. The stuff dreams are made of. These two obviously were meant to be here today tying the knot. The rustic style barn and table place designs were so sweet and we really enjoyed the heartwarming speeches which made both Ian and Beth grin and blush.
Beth and Ian, Thank you for having us at your day. It really was a special time and one I’ll definitely remember forever as I’m sure you will. You’re a match.
Elenie and David, this London wedding photographer loved your wedding! Getting ready at your parents house, a house full of your wonderful family and friends, it was a busy morning. Elenies family performed the traditional Greek ceremonies before a daughters wedding, the red ribbon made the family shed a few tears (ok, and me a little!). The Greek Orthadox Church, Saint Sophias in Bayswater housed the beautiful ceremony, and a short drive to the Dorchester and free flowing champagne swiftly followed.
Our favourite moments of the day? The church is stunning, and seeing Elenie walk towards David was a beautiful sight, the Dorchester Ballroom and the beautiful decorations. You cant beat it. But what topped the night off was Elenie and Davids “dance off” with each other (one Greek dancing, one Irish) and of course the traditional Money Dance…
Thanks for letting us share your day and we hope your new life in the USA is all you imagined
