Sussex wedding photographer: Amy and Joe at the Walled Garden

Amy and Joe’s family were the best. After initially meeting them while Amy was getting ready at a salon in Chichester, we caught a glimpse of how funny, warm and loving they are, not only to their children, but anyone involved with them, including us. Tash and I also had the pleasure of working with Rupert Whiteley a Sussex wedding photographer who was visiting from America on this wedding. We took him along for the ride and we think we make a great team.

Amy and Joe were married and had their reception at the fantastic Walled Garden at Cowdray Park in Midhurst. A quaint village in Sussex. An emotional ceremony and a few drinks later and the party was in full swing. The rain didn’t stop these families from having fun on a typically damp English summer day.

The things we remember most about this day? Amy’s Dad and uncles re-enacting Monty Python scenes whilst smoking cigars, the great speeches, but most of all how apparently perfect Amy and Joe are for each other and how much they are surrounded by great friends. Good luck you two …x

without changing the flow of the day .

Claire and Matt, Chichester 3rd June

Ah Claire and Matt, what can I say? You two are funny and crazy and 100 miles an hour but oh so in love. Arriving at your parents to watch you and your girls get ready was fun and relaxing Claire, especially with the unveiling of your “Jubilee shoes!” V COOL.

Arriving at the church was extra special because Claire’s mum was taking the service “marrying” her daughter. How wonderful. Claire, surrounded by her Dad, Matt and her lovely Mum; what a fantastic loving place to be at the front of the altar. She must have felt so secure and loved.

After a tear jerking ceremony, the congregation went back to the hotel where everyone relaxed and watched Matt and Claire effortlessly greet their guests. After a VERY funny best mans speech that evening, I was surprised with a big Happy Birthday song, really thoughtful and I have to admit I had had tear in my eye. Thanks guys.

You two are brilliant together and I mean that in the true sense of the word. Congratulations and I’ll see you soon. x

London wedding photographer: Katie and Billy

Katie and Billy are a special couple. Well, they are in my opinion. As soon as we met at the hotel where Katie was getting ready I could tell this would be a lovely wedding. Beautiful pieces of vintage style attire strewn around the room but more importantly, a smiling, happy, non stressed bride. (Obviously knowing she was about to make one of the best decisions of her life!) Billy, the same with his boys getting ready at his parents house with my second shooter Tash, he said he was more nervous though, wanting to look just right for Katie when she first saw him. She had no idea what he would be wearing.

With him waiting at the end of the aisle in his retro (very cool, I might add) suit and his gold pocket watch, he couldn’t keep his eyes off his stunning and elegant bride walking towards him.

They were married on the local church, surrounded by loved ones and the reception was held back at Billy’s parents in the garden. Low key, stylish and perfect. The evening was topped off with hilarious (literally) speeches and fantastic fireworks. Katie and Billy. A joy to photograph this London wedding and so perfectly matched… x

Dawn - Oh My! It was just the most beautiful wedding, adorable couple and momentos day from beginning to end. God Bless them both and may they spend many happy healthy years together.

Sussex wedding photographer: Louisa and Dean

We’ve shot so many beautiful weddings this year already and have so many to go. Each one just gets better and better.. Louisa and Dean had their engagement photos earlier in the year (see their blog post) and now it was time for their special day. Everything in one place at one of our favourite venues Botleys mansion in Surrey. Louisa,  her sisters and friends prepared themselves in the glorious Bridal suite with the boys just along the corridor. We fell in love with her shoes, her flowers and of course that beautiful dress!

These two just beamed as soon as they saw each other when Louisa entered the room and carried on grinning at each other all day. So much fun to photograph; the weather clearing just in time for us to take some great portraits of them in the well kept grounds of Botleys.

Keep smiling at each other you two, the way you smiled on your wedding day  x
